Marama becomes a cover

A brief overview….

My dear friend advised me not to worry about grammar, spelling mistakes, layout, etc. Recalling her words, anything can be corrected!

Professionals do that for a living, so just start writing. We will take care of everything later. Get started.!

As time went by, I remembered a photo I had taken of a painting of a mountain and river hanging at my great-cousin's house in New Zealand. She told me that every Maori Tribe has its mountain and river. According to her, this was my mountain, my river.

Okay, I thought, that sounded interesting. I dared not to question it.

My dear friend is blessed with many talents, and painting in oil and aquarelle is one of them. During my writing, I desired to have the photo of the mountain painted in oil to hang up on the living room wall above the couch. There was no rush when she would finish it. I just wanted it to happen, so I asked my dear friend to paint it for me.

It became the cover's background, as you can see in the photo.

What else do we see? A fish hook with a whale tail, a weaved necklace, a net holding a crystal

Let's start with the hook.

Its mythology, it symbolizes the fishhook that pulled the north Iland of New Zealand out of the sea. It is said that whales and dolphins navigate one's way across the ocean.

The family had this beautiful hand-carved fishhook with a whale tail, made especially for me. It was presented by my Maori family to keep me safe while traveling over waters. It shell bring me peace, prosperity, good health, good luck, good energy, and strength.

The weaved necklace

In the years to follow, my interest was pulled toward Mario weaving after traveling back and forth to New Zealand. I decided to start with something simple I believed that I could use. It turned out to be more than I expected. I replaced the original cord the hook was hanging on.

The net holding a crystal

I was looking for a solution to hang my crystal to my hook. My mother remembered creating a net by placing nodes in a certain way. It turned out to be the perfect solution, as we see in the picture.

My book was coming to an end. All the pieces I needed (without knowing) were already falling into place to be used by my dear friend to create a hardcover copy to send to publishers.

I know you feel that there is much more to share on this page after reading these few lines. And yes, there is another chapter I might share with you.

Please keep in mind that what I am sharing with you is the information I have received while exploring this path.

Thank you for staying tuned in… see you next month.
